Abstract:Objective To establish a continuous flow injection spectrophotometric method for the determination of cyanide in liquor. Methods The samples were diluted, and then continuous flow injection spectrophotometry was used to determine cyanide in liquor. Results Under the experimental conditions, the linear range was 0.01-2.5 mg/L, with the correlation coefficient being more than or equal to 0.999. The relative standard deviation was 1.1%-2.2%, and the recoveries of spiked samples ranged between 85% and 104.2%. Conclusions The Results show that determination of cyanide in liquor by the continuous flow injection spectrophotometric method completely satisfies the request of international standard; moreover, it is simple, rapid, efficient and very practicable, especially suitable for the batch determination and emergent detection.
