Abstract:Objective To investigate the prevalence rate of coronary atherosclerotic heart disease (CHD) and its related factors among cadres and workers in Xingtai city. Methods A self-designed epidemiological questionnaire survey and physical and biochemical examinations were conducted among 30,068 cadres and workers. Chi-square test was used to compare the prevalence rate, and the related factors were analyzed by logistic regression. Resultss The prevalence rate of CHD among the cadres and workers in Xingtai city was 4.59% (1,381/30,068). Single factor analysis indicated that age, gender, dyslipidemia, hypertension, diabetes, obesity, smoking, drinking, amount of exercise, high fat diet, high sugar diet, high salt diet, indulgence in appetite and family history were all associated with the prevalence of CHD. Multiple-factor analysis indicated that the risk factors for the prevalence of CHD included advanced age (OR=4.49, 95%CI:3.30-6.58), males (OR=4.46, 95%CI:3.13-6.45), dyslipidemia (OR=41.96, 95%CI:27.50-64.02), hypertension (OR=49.64, 95%CI:33.87-88.24), diabetes (OR=58.20, 95%CI:43.18-97.71), obesity(OR=23.58, 95%CI:12.30-45.12), smoking (OR=17.19, 95%CI:5.31-15.82), drinking (OR=4.30, 95%CI:3.18-5.90), a small amount of exercise(OR=3.34, 95%CI:1.86-5.99), high fat diet(OR=23.01, 95%CI:12.65-41.86), high sugar diet (OR=21.11, 95%CI:12.05-36.32), high salt diet (OR=6.88, 95%CI:3.83-12.16), indulgence in appetite (OR=12.01, 95%CI:6.90-20.81) and family history (OR=13.46, 95%CI:4.16-12.12). Conclusions The prevalence rate of CHD among the cadres and workers in Xingtai city is high, and CHD prevalence is closely related to advanced age, males, dyslipidemia, hypertension, diabetes, obesity, smoking, alcohol consumption, a small amount of exercise, high fat diet, high sugar diet, high salt diet, satiety and family history.
