Abstract:Objective To investigate the plasmid diversity and genetic diversity of Vibrio vulnificus isolated from different environment samples in Nanshan District, Shenzhen City from 2010 to 2013. Methods Polymeras chain reaction was used to detect 6 kinds of plasmid genes of Vibrio vulnificus (including seq25, seq51, TraI, TraI2, TraD and Vep07) isolated from the environmental samples in Nanshan District, Shenzhen City. Vibrio vulnificus was collected to perform multilocus sequencing typing (MLST), and MLST data were analyzed by the Bionumerics software. Results Among the 50 strains of Vibrio vulnificus , 43(86%) carried the plasmid, and 19 plasmid profiles presented20 (20/50, 40%) strains possessed the virulence and conjugative plasmid, 13 (13/50, 26%) possessed the virulence plasmid and 2 (2/50, 4%) possessed the conjugative plasmid. 43 sequence types were found in 50 strains of Vibrio vulnificus by MLST. Conclusions Plasmids are widespread among Vibrio vulnificus species from the environment samples in Nanshan District, Shenzhen City. There exists diversity of plasmid profiles among Vibrio vulnificus strains isolated from different environment samples; moreover, Vibrio vulnificus strains also show genetic diversity.
