Resultss A total of 10,215 injury cases of the elderly aged 60 years and above were involved in this surveillance analysis. The gender ratio of male to female was 1.15∶1.There were statistically significant differences in the distribution of reported ages when the injury episode occurred during the 7-year surveillance period (χ2=68.867, P<0.001). Most of the injury cases in the elderly occurred at home (70.82%, 7,234/10,215). The main causes of injuries were fall (36.63%, 3,742/10,215) and knife/sharp injuries (33.90%, 3,463/10,215).
