Abstract:Objective:to explore the changes of serum trace elements, such as zinc, iron, copper, calcium, magnesium ,in children with rotavirus enteritis and non_infection diarrhea .Methods:About 47 children with rotavirus enteritis from the department of hospital were randomly selected into the study, and 56 children with non_infection diarrhea over the same period were as the control group, the levels of serum zinc, iron, copper, calcium, magnesium and lead were measured ,respectively. Results:The levels of serum zinc, calcium and magnesium from children rotavirus enteritis were significantly lower than those of control group(p<0.05).The level of serum lead was significantly higher than those of control group(p<0.05).Conclusion:there maybe uncommon enteritis trace element metabolism in children with rotavirus enteritis and trace elements level needed to be monitored for children with such disease in clinic work.
