Abstract:Objective To development a Rapid andefficient method of detection GII norovirus in oyster to deal with the outbreak of foodborne acute gastroenteritis .MethodsThe feces which contain the GII norovirus were added to the digestive tissue of oyster.Proteinase K was used to lysis the seeded oysters ,followed by PEG6000 concentration . The feces was diluted and added to the oyster samples to evaluate the recovery efficiencies and sensitivity of this method.ResultsThe detection limit of this method was 3.91×103copies/g and the mean recover yields was 6.64%. Conclusions The Proteinase K lysis-PEG6000 concentration was a simple and rapid method to extract viral from oyster.It is possible to be used to detect virus in different shellfish samples.
