Abstract:Objective To study acute oral toxicity, acute dermal toxicity, acute dermal irritation and acute eye irritation of 4-chlorine -2- fluoro -3- methoxybenzeneboronic acid. Methods The tests were conducted in compliance with The Guidelines for the Testing of Chemicals. Results ①Acute oral toxicity test: LD50 in female rats was 369mg/kg, confidence interval in 95% was 227mg/kg ~ 599mg/kg; LD50 in male rats was 233mg/kg, confidence interval in 95% was 160mg/kg ~ 399mg/kg. Pulmonary congestion may be seen by anatomy on the dead rats. ②Acute dermal toxicity test:LD50 in rats was more than 2500mg/kg. ③Acute dermal irritation test: Both mean values of the total integral and the highest integral in sometime for dermal irritation were "0" in each observation point, after albino rabbits exposed to acute dermal irritation. ④Acute eye irritation test: The grade classification of eye irritation test for albino rabbits was level 5. Conclusions Acute oral toxicity of 4- chloro -2- fluoro -3- methoxybenzeneboronic acid for female and male rats belongs to "low toxicity","moderate toxicity", respectively .Target organ may be lung;Acute dermal toxicity for rats is " non-toxic "; It is non dermal irritant to albino rabbits, but may be medium ocular irritant.
