Abstract:ObjectiveTo study the Reproductive toxicity of typical persistent organic pollutants mixtures in tidal-flat sediment of south of Hangzhou Bay in mice.Methods80 mature ICR mice(clean anima, sexual maturation, weighed 22-26g)were randomly into three experimental groups(30,100 and 300 mg/kg ) and the control group,20 in team, the reproductive toxicity trial in mice.Which all exposed by intragastric administration(10 ml/kg), male mice were gavage administration for 6 consecutive weeks, for the determination of sperm deformity.Female mices were gavage administration for 2 weeks, and then mated with male mices (male: female, 1∶1).The time of mating of two weeks, detected Copulation rate and pregnancy rate.Pregnant mice were dissected on 19 day, detected number of corpora lutea resorptions, live and dead fetuses and implantations, detected length of fetus and fetal weight and placental weight.ResultsWhen the doses of typical persistent organic pollutants were 100 and 300 mg/kg,sperm vitality rate was reduce and rate of sperm deformation was hoist, there had obvious difference compared with control group (P<0.05).When the doses of typical persistent organic pollutants was 300 mg/kg,fertility rate and pregnancy rate and live fetuses rate and length of fetus and fetal weight were reduce (P<0.05),while rate of pre-implantation death and dead fetuses was hoist(P<0.05).ConclusionsEffects of persistent organic pollutants mixtures was 300 mg/kg in tidal-flat sediment have a marked reproductive and developmental toxicity for mice.
