Abstract:Objective To analyze the evaluation data of the measles surveillance information reporting management system in Lianyungang City from 2009 to 2015 so as to find the existing problems and provide a basis for improving the surveillance quality of the system. Methods Descriptive epidemiological methods were used to statistically analyze the data collected from the measles surveillance information reporting management system in Lianyungang City from 2009 to 2015. Results A total of 1,517 monitoring cases were reported from 2009 to 2015, with 820 (54.05%) measles cases confirmed. The reported incidence rates of discarded cases in 2009 and 2010 were both less than 1/100,000, while those during 2011- 2015 ranged between 2.50/100,000 and 3.14/100,000. The rates of cases investigated within 48 hours and blood specimen collection in 2009 were the lowest (98.77% and 93.13% respectively). Conclusions After running the measles surveillance information reporting management system in Lianyungang City, its performance quality increases significantly and keeps efficient functioning. With the increasing immunization rate and timely immunization rate of measles, the incidence rate in Lianyungang is low. It is necessary to further improve the quality of the measles surveillance information reporting management system and the antibody level of measles in population so as to achieve the goal of measles elimination.
