Abstract:Objective To investigate the psychological behavior problems among preschoolers in Wuhu City, and to explore its influencing factors. Methods A total 4,844 preschoolers were selected from 2 counties and 2 districts in Wuhu City from May to June in 2015. The Conners Parent Symptom Questionnaire compiled by American scholar Conners and the self-designed Questionnaire on Influencing Factors of Preschoolers’ Behavior were employed for investigating the preschoolers’ psychological behavior problems. Results The detection rate of behavior problems in the preschoolers in Wuhu City was 24.17%. The detection rate was 29.83% in boys and 17.62% in girls, with a statistically significant difference (P<0.05). There were differences and similarities between the score of each factor of behavior problems of the preschoolers in Wuhu City and the national urban norm. Among the factors influencing the preschoolers’ behavior problems, girls, persuasion and education and taking vitamin D were the protective factors, while age and crying on waking up in the morning were the risk factors. Conclusions Behavior problems are more conspicuous in boys than in girls in Wuhu City, 2015. They are affected by multiple factors.
