Results A total of 40,245 cases of infectious diarrhea other than CDTP were reported in Baoan District, Shenzhen City from 2010 to 2014. The annual incidence rates ranged from 123.6/100,000 to 218.8/100,000, which showed a lightly decreasing trend. The annual incidence peak occurred from October to January of next year. Most of the cases were the scattered children, and childred under 5 years old accounted for more than 88% of the total cases. The incidence rate in Shiyan Street was the highest (289.97/100,000). The laboratory confirmed cases accounted for 89.8% of the total reported cases, and the cases of rotavirus infection for 96.8% of the laboratory confirmed cases. Conclusions Infectious diarrhea other than CDTP in Baoan District, Shenzhen City in 2010-2014 mainly affects children under 5 years old (especially the scattered children). The peak season of the incidence is lightly changing per year, and rotavirus is the major pathogen causing infectious diarrhea other than CDTP.
