The investigation of quality of life and influencing factors of rural elderly hypertensive patients in Guangzhou huadu district

Abstract:Objective:To explore the quality of life and influencing factors of rural elderly hypertensive patients in Guangzhou huadu district.MethodsUsing concise health questionnaire (SF-36) and self-made questionnaire to investigate the quality of life of rural elderly hypertensive patients which stratified random cluster sampling of guangzhou city, Huadu district.Results:The patients with the score: physiological function (78.32±13.80) points, physiological function (67.33±32.85), body pain (20.63±18.17) points, overall health (62.50±7.95), energy (68.36±15.29) points, social function (71.42±14.81) points, emotional functions (76.28±38.87), quality of life scores (456.83±120.70); Single factor analysis showed that, different gender, educational level, income level, marital status, mental health, sports, lifestyle, and combined with other chronic diseases, medical insurance, the attitude of high blood pressure group, and between the quality of life score difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Linear regression analysis showed that gender, educational level, income level, marital status, mental health, sports, lifestyle, and combined with other chronic diseases, medical insurance, the attitude of the high blood pressure are the influence factors of the rural elderly hypertensive patients quality of life (P<0.05 or P<0.05). Conclusion:Gender, educational level, income, marriage, the mental state, such as medical insurance, attitude to high blood pressure is the influencing factors of the rural elderly hypertensive patients quality of life.
