Abstract:ObjectiveTo study on the difference of general self-conscious symptom and blood routine index between the benzene-exposed workers (jewelry processing industry workers) and non benzene-exposed workers. MethodsCollect the research object of general demographic information, past medical history, work seniority, use of protective equipment and general self-conscious symptom by using epidemiological questionnaire; blood samples were collected for blood routine examination. ResultsGeneral self-conscious symptom include headache, dizziness, memory loss, consciously in the benzene crews are significantly higher than non benzene operations; basophil absolute number and average red blood cell hemoglobin concentration in benzene-exposed is lower than the non benzene-exposed workers group, difference is statistically difference after adjustment for age, gender, education, length of service, and smoking history. ConclusionThe ratio of benzene-exposed workers with consciously headache, dizziness and memory loss is higher than non benzene-exposed workers, but the absolute blood basophilic cells and red blood cell hemoglobin concentration is lower than the non benzene-exposed workers group.
