Abstract:Objective To analyze the status of incity cross-county mobility in HIV/AIDS patients after the first follow-up in Weifang City, Shandong Province, and to understand their movement characteristics and their impacts on follow-up testing and antiretroviral therapy (ART). Methods We collected the demographic characteristics, movement status, follow-up and treatment information of newly reported HIV/AIDS patients in Weifang City from 2015 to 2020. χ2 test and logistic regression were used to analyze the impacts of intra-city cross-county mobility on the quality of follow-up after the first follow-up. Results HIV/AIDS patients with incity cross-county movement after the first follow-up accounted for 42.9% (457/1,065). Higher proportions of incity cross-county movement were found in HIV/AIDS patients with education level of high school or technical secondary school (49.1%), those with housekeeping and being unemployed as occupation (54.7%), those diagnosed in voluntary blood donation detection (76.5%), those infected through homosexual behavior (46.8%) and those experienced the first follow-up in the non-household registration place (65.2%). Worrying about personal information leakage (81.1%) and seeking for better medical services (83.1%) were the main reasons for occurrence of incity cross-county movement in HIV/AIDS patients. HIV/AIDS patients without incity cross-county movement after the first follow-up were more likely to undergo CD4+T cells detection (OR=1.80, 95%CI:1.18-2.75) and accept spouses’/fixed sexual partners’ HIV antibody detection (OR=2.78, 95%CI:1.73-4.47). Conclusion HIV/AIDS patients’ incity cross-county movement after the first follow-up affects their follow-up testing. Further attention needs to be paid to the discovery and management of HIV/AIDS patients in floating population so as to ensure the continuity of subsequent follow-up.
