Abstract:To estimate the effect of community-based intervention of health educations on knowledge and practice of the substandard treatment hypertensive patients in rural areas in Jinshan District Shanghai. Methods The study design was a quasi-experiment,The intervention group(n=101)received community-based intervention and the routine grouping management , the control group(n=105)only received the routine grouping management,At the end of the study,the change of knowledge and practice were compared between the intervention subjects and the control subjects who completed 1-year intervention.Results After 1-year intervention,the patients’ knowledge awareness rate in 5 items about hypertension was significantly higher in the intervention group than that in the baseline and the control group(P<0.05),The level of satisfaction with blood-pressure control and doctors in the intervention group was significantly higher than that in the baseline and the control group(P<0.05),The patients in the intervention group showed greater improvements in health behaviors except for giving up smoking than that in the baseline and the control group(P<0.05),The amplitudes of decreasing in systemic blood pressure (SBP) were better in intervention group than in control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The community-based intervention of health educations on knowledge and practice of the substandard treatment hypertensive patients in rural areas had significantly effect,Tt is an effective strategy for hypertension Intervention in Rural Areas.
