Abstract:Objective To investigate the detection and infection status of AIDS, syphilis and hepatitis B among pregnant and lying-in women in Hunan Province so as to provide a scientific basis for developing prevention and control measures of mother-to -child transmission (MTCT) of the three diseases. Methods We analyzed the detection results of AIDS, syphilis and hepatitis B in pregnant and lying-in women in Hunan Province from October, 2011 to September, 2015. The related detection rates were compared using chi-square test (annual statistics based on 3+1 mode). Results The testing rates of HIV, syphilis and hepatitis B and the testing rates during pregnancy in pregnant and lying-in women in Hunan Province during 2011-2015 were 95.99% and 75.54%, 95.14% and 74.10%, 97.67% and 76.06% respectively, which were all increased year by year (all P=0.000). And the positive infection rates of the three diseases were 0.20‰, 2.11‰ and 6.78% respectively. The positive rates of HIV showed an upward trend year by year(P=0.013). The proportions of intrapartum diagnoses of positive cases of the three diseases were 35.24%, 43.49% and 36.58% respectively. The proportions of intrapartum diagnoses of positive cases of syphilis and hepatitis B showed a declining trend year by year(both P=0.000). Conclusions The testing rates of HIV, syphilis and hepatitis B during the puerperal and pregnant period in Hunan Province during 2011-2015 are gradually increased, and the positive detection rates are also increased. The proportion of intrapartum diagnoses of positive cases is relatively high. It is necessary to improve the testing rates of AIDS, syphilis and hepatitis B during early pregnancy so as to decline the rates of MTCT of the three diseases.
