Abstract:Objective to research the effect of Huxinkang about blood NOS、NO concentration in rabbit with atherosclerosis. MethodsThe rabbits were randomly divided into normal control group(6 rabbits)、model control group(10 rabbits)、simvastatin group(10 rabbits) and Huxinkang group(10 rabbits)。Normal control group fed up with normal diet,the other groups were given high fat diet ,to establish rabbit model of atherosclerosis .Drug intervention 4 weeks after modeling 12 weeks.To detect blood lipid、serum NO and NOS concentration by ELISA after16 weeks. Results.The levels of TC、LDL-C in model control group were significantly higher than those in normal control group(P<0.05);The levels of TC、LDL-C in Huxinkang group were lower than those in model control group(P<0.05);The level of HDL-C in simvastatin group was lower than that in model control group(P<0.05).The serum NOS, NO concentration were higher in other three groups compare to normal control group(P<0.05); The serum NOS, NO levels in simvastatin group and Huxinkang group were higher than those in the model control group(P<0.05),but there was no difference between the two groups(P> 0.05).ConclusionHuxinkang could reduce blood lipids and increase the serum NOS,NO concentration,it could regulate vascular tension 、protect vascular endothelium,thus it can prevent and treat atherosclerosis effectively.
