Abstract:Objective To explore the impact of fine particulate matter (PM2.5) on the expression of lung cancer-related lncRNAs in human bronchial epithelial cells (BEAS2B). Methods Normal BEAS2B cells treated with phosphate buffer saline (PBS) for 48 hours served as the control group, while BEAS2B cells treated with 300 μg/ml PM2.5 for 48 hours was considered as the treated group. The changes of expression of lncPVT1, lncUCA1, MIR31HG, lncIRAIN, lncCASC2, lncH19 and lncSNHG were detected by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction assay. Results The expression of lncPVT1, lncUCA1, MIR31HG and lncIRAIN in the treated group was up-regulated and increased by 0.93-fold, 0.45-fold, 2.80-fold and 2.94-fold respectively as compared with the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). And the expression of lncIRAIN was affected most significantly. The expression of lncCASC2and lncH19in the treated group was down-regulated and decreased by 0.17-fold and 0.08-fold respectively as compared with the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). And the expression of lncH19 was affected most significantly. Conclusions PM2.5 can enhance the expression of MIR31HG, lncPVT1, lncUCA1 and lncIRAIN, but inhibit the expression of lncCASC2 and lncH19.
