Research on The Role of Exercises such as Singing,Tai Chi,etc to Psychological Healthy of Chronic Disease Patients and High-risks Groups over 50 years old in Community

Abstract:[Objective]To use the intervention such as singing,tai chi,dancing,playing musical instrument,considered the role to psychological healthy of chronic disease patients and high-risks groups in community,so as to provide basis for intervention of chronic diseases.[Methods]617 members over 50 years old with chronic diseases or high-risks were divided into five groups with voluntary principle.The intervention groups including singing,tai chi,dancing,playing musical instrument and different courses were used.Control group participated in other courses and independent interventions.The whole intervention lasted 15 months.Analysised the health effects,resilience,depression prevalence and other mental health of each group.[Results]The health effects of each intervention group scored significantly higher than control group(P<0.05).Including the brain executive function,mental health,mental status,physical activity,self-esteem,etc.The resilience in the intervention groups were also higher(P<0.05).There were differences in intervention effects of different intervention groups.Singing group and tai chi group scored the highest executive function of the brain,tai chi group and singing group scored the highest health-related quality of life,tai chi group and dancing group scored highest in self-esteem, the score of tai chi group was higher in resilience too.Playing musical instrument group scored higher executive functions in the brain,mental health etc.But compared with the control group,there was no significant in social skills,physical activity,family relationships,the friends to support of resilience etc(P>0.05). [Conclusion]The effect is obvious that Tai Chi in promoting the prevention of depression in terms of brain function.Singing and dancing in the prevention of brain function decline and improve health-related quality of life is very effective.Playing musical instrument can promote individual to maintain good mental health.
