Abstract:The incidence rate of obesity shows an upward trend at present, and it is an important risk factor for the developmentof many chronic non-communicable diseases. Studies have shown that negative emotion such as anxiety and depression can potentially increase the body’s food intake, and develop or aggravate obesity, but there is no definite conclusion. Negative emotion and obesity are highly correlated with adverse health consequences and should be prevented and intervened early. By searching the studies on the correlation between negative emotion and obesity, we summarize, conclude and explore the influence of negative emotion on the risk of obesity and the mechanism in which it can affect obesity so as to provide new ideas for prevention and control of obesity.
