Establishment of an index system for evaluating the effect of hierarchical diagnosis and treatment of chronic diseases with Delphi method

Abstract:Objective To establish an index system for assessing the effect of hierarchical diagnosis and therapy of chronic diseases with Delphi method, and to provide a basis for evaluating the effect of hierarchical diagnosis and treatment of local chronic diseases. Methods Twenty experts were selected to evaluate the alternative indexes according to the requirements of Delphi method, and the indexes and weights were determined based on the evaluation results. Results The active coefficients of the experts in the two rounds of Delphi consultation were 75.00% and 100.00%, respectively. The average authority coefficients of the experts were 0.72 and 0.78, respectively (P<0.05). The Kendall coordination coefficients of the experts were 0.13 and 0.49, respectively (P<0.05). After the two rounds of Delphi consultation, the final index system was established, including 3 primary indexes, 12 secondary indexes and 35 tertiary indexes. Conclusions The indexes established based on Delphi method has high reliability and feasibility, but there still exist some problems like insufficient experts and the improvement of levels of experts’ enthusiasm and authority.
