Advances in epidemic trend of tuberculosis and its influencing factors among the elderly at home and abroad

Abstract:Tuberculosis among the elderly has become a major public health problem which extremely needs to be solved in the world, and its disease characteristics including high morbidity, high prevalence rate, high adverse reaction rate and high mortality seriously affect the later life and health of the elderly. Tuberculosis has the features of both chronic and infectious diseases and is affected by many factors. It is of important guiding value for the prevention and control of tuberculosis in the elderly to analyze the epidemiological characteristics of tuberculosis and identify its risk factors in the elderly. This article reviews the epidemic trends and influencing factors of senile tuberculosis at home and abroad, and provides a reference basis for further research and intervention of tuberculosis in the elderly.
